McElroy & Pheney - History
The firm was founded in the mid-1940's by attorney Philip J. McElroy and was originally located in Detroit’s Fisher Building. Upon graduation from the University of Detroit Law School, Dennis J. Pheney joined the firm and concentrated in the legal areas of estate planning, asset preservation and decedent estate administration, business planning and business formation, and real estate. In 1982, the law firm relocated to Farmington Hills. In 1993, Philip McElroy died and Dennis Pheney continued with the legal practice. In 2005, the law firm moved to its present location on Orchard Lake Road.
